Evidence behind every result
Learner excerpts are shown where captured, unverifiable quotes are dropped, and required behaviors that were not seen are marked not observed.
For Simulation Center Directors and Educators
Learners hold spoken conversations with AI patients, family members, and clinical colleagues who respond to what they say, in any modern web browser. Use it before and between your facilitated simulations so communication practice continues across the term, with evidence educators can review after every completed attempt.

Where It Fits
Simulation-based healthcare education depends on educator time, standardized patients, and skills-lab scheduling. Lingua CoPilot Medical adds communication practice around those sessions without replacing them.
Cases change the person, the pressure, and the setting, so a learner can practice the same communication skill with a different patient, family member, or colleague each time, including interruption, emotion, hierarchy, and time pressure. Learners can practice at any hour, without waiting for a scheduled session.
Whether your center supports simulation-based medical education, nursing skills labs, or both, educators can see what each learner said and missed without observing every attempt in person.
One Suggested Pattern
One way to use Lingua CoPilot Medical in a simulation program, not a requirement. Learners can also practice on their own or within an educator-led workshop.
01
Learners complete one Lingua CoPilot Medical attempt on a related case, without hints, so educators can see where each learner starts.
02
Your educators run the session with standardized patients, manikins or peers, and lead the debrief as they normally would.
03
Learners keep practicing on other cases that exercise the same skill: first with live hints where your institution enables coaching, then a separate attempt without hints.
04
Educators look at the evidence for the skill they are tracking and use it to plan the next session, the next cases, and who needs more support.
Then the cycle repeats with the next session, so practice continues across the term instead of stopping when a session ends.
Every completed Lingua CoPilot Medical attempt ends with an optional self-guided debrief, then the score report.
One Program Example
An illustrative plan for one cohort and one behavior. The timing is an example, not a required schedule.
The behavior educators track
Does the call end with a clear request: the next action needed, who will do it, and by when? And does that request hold when the receiver interrupts or asks for SBAR quickly?
| When | What students do | What educators decide |
|---|---|---|
| Start of term | Each student completes one SBAR escalation case in Lingua CoPilot Medical, without hints. | Which behavior to track and which cases to assign. The cohort’s first attempts show where the skills-lab session should focus. |
| Skills-lab session | The cohort takes part in your usual SBAR session, and your facilitator leads the debrief. | What the session and debrief emphasize, for example keeping the request clear when the receiver pushes back. |
| Following weeks | Students practice SBAR cases where the receiver interrupts or asks for SBAR quickly, with live hints if coaching is on, then a separate attempt without hints on a comparable case. | Whether coaching is on, and which follow-up case is comparable: the same behavior, similar difficulty, a different person or pressure. |
| Mid-term review | Students revisit their own reports before the next class discussion. | Who needs another facilitated session or direct observation, and what the class discussion covers, for example a request that names an action but no timeframe. |
| Before clinical placement | One more attempt without hints, on an SBAR case the student has not seen. | Whether the behavior holds without prompts on a comparable case, and what to revisit in the next term. |
Compare like with like: look at the evidence for the tracked behavior, on cases of similar difficulty, and note whether coaching was on for each attempt. A stronger later attempt shows what the student did in that simulation. It does not by itself establish competence in clinical practice.

What Educators Can Review
Learner excerpts are shown where captured, unverifiable quotes are dropped, and required behaviors that were not seen are marked not observed.
When the engine detects a safety-critical step spoken incorrectly, that step is flagged for educator review and not credited.
When a learner works through the self-guided debrief, educators can open the saved reflection, including a partial one, alongside the performance report. Reflections are never scored.
Educators can compare a learner’s attempts over time and look at patterns across a cohort. Marks, progression and remediation decisions stay with educators.
Learners and Stations
Each station is written for particular learner roles. These are the current matches; availability varies by station, case, learner role, and language.
MBBS colleges planning AETCOM communication practice can also start from the AETCOM page. AETCOM Communication Simulation
In OT Team Communication, selected cases put the learner in the anesthesiologist role.
In OT Team Communication, cases cover circulating, scrub and OT nurse roles.
Selected Operating Theatre Team Communication cases put the learner in the OT technician role. Current cases do not cover learner roles in other allied health professions.
Scope Boundary
Hands-on skills, team simulation, and facilitated debriefing remain with your center and its educators.
Questions
No. It adds repeatable, on-demand conversation practice before and between your facilitated simulations, so you can reserve standardized patients and facilitated debriefing for encounters where human participation matters most.
No. Learners can practice without any facilitated session. These pages describe practice cycles that stand on their own:
Yes. Learners can complete individual Lingua CoPilot Medical attempts within an educator-led workshop, on a laptop, desktop, or mobile device. The pattern on this page is one suggested use, not a requirement.
No. It analyzes and gives feedback only on conversations held in Lingua CoPilot Medical, not on standardized-patient, manikin, or peer encounters. Those encounters, and their debriefs, stay with your educators.
No. It is a short, optional reflection after each completed Lingua CoPilot Medical attempt, before the score report. Facilitated debriefing remains the standard for complex cases and for your own sessions.
Your educators choose the station, the cases, and the order. Our team can help check that the cases fit your session and set when coaching is available. Authorized educators review the evidence, and marks, progression, and remediation decisions stay with them.
Any modern web browser, a microphone and audio output, and an internet connection. No manikin, headset, or app install is needed, so learners can practice on campus or away from it.
Our team can configure custom cases around your local workflows, patient population and communication standards across US, UK, Australian and Indian healthcare contexts. English is supported across these contexts. For India, we support nine regional languages. Existing case and language coverage varies; we agree on the selection and any custom work with your team.
The established communication stations support nine Indian languages (Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Gujarati, and Marathi) plus healthcare-specific English variants for India, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia. Availability varies by station and case.
